The Super Magna was the second-generation Magna, restyled into a long, low drag-style cruiser with a 19-inch front wheel, fat 15-inch rear, a stretched wheelbase and a seat under 28 inches. The V45 engine now carried the cam-wear fixes Honda introduced after the early V-four problems, and the exhausts were swept up into a distinctive four-pipe tail. It kept shaft drive and six speeds, and riders rated it as a light-steering, rev-happy cruiser rather than a lazy V-twin alternative.
